Before we can improve our games, or for that matter any aspect of our lives, we must have in mind an improved self – an imaginary “me” which is different from and better than the one that exists right now. Otherwise, the best I can hope for is the same old me running the same old brain patterns repeating the same old behaviors seeing the same old stuff. Until we learn to stretch our thoughts and emotions well beyond what we already know, change is not usually taking place. More often we are finding yet another way to hide out within the confines of our current comfy box, afraid of the extraordinary because the ordinary feels safe and within our control.
